Graduate studies in STRUBI are based on supportive supervision in an outstanding research environment where every student benefits from the opportunity to acquire a broad and individualised range of personal and transferable skills that are of great value in future careers. Designed to nurture independent and creative scientists, STRUBI offers a stimulating educational environment. Focused training on the skills required for a successful career in independent research is also provided. STRUBI provides training in structural biology and related biochemical and cell biological approaches to understand molecular and cellular function. Our research spans a broad swath of modern biology, including the molecular basis of transcription and translation, chromatin structure, cell surface signalling, membrane and pore-forming protein structure and function, viral structural biology, the nature of host-pathogen interaction and structural immunology.
