Studentships in STRUBI

STRUBI Students

Funding

Postgraduate study within the Division of Structural Biology is possible as part of several different programmes of research. NDM Doctoral Prize Studentships are the Nuffield Department of Medicine's flagship programme for fully-funded 4-year scholarships that are open to outstanding students of any nationality without restriction. The studentships are advertised from October for students who want to start the following October. Further funding is provided by partnership programmes, including the NIH-Oxford Scholars Programme, The NIH-Wellcome Trust 4 year PHD studentships, Skaggs Scholarship for Scripps-Oxford Joint DPhil/PhD and the A*STAR – Singapore- Oxford Partnership DPhil Programme. A single application through the NDM graduate studies admission covers all the funding sources above.

Other sources of funding include the The Wellcome Trust 4-year PhD Programmes, with the majority of students in STRUBI being funded specifically by the Structural Biology: from Molecules to Cells Programme. These programmes are open to students from any country. The first year of each programme consists of taught courses and laboratory rotations, after which the students are assigned a Department for a further 3 years of independent research in a single laboratory. See the relevant Departmental and Divisional pages for more sources of funding.

See the applications page for more information on how to apply.
